Simple Days Can Hold A Story Worth Sharing

Simple Days Can Hold A Story Worth Sharing

I recently visited Robin Hood’s Bay on a cold winter’s day.

Most of the shops were closed, but right at the bottom of the bank was a little café called Tea, Toast & Post - and I was glad everywhere else was shut, because it was perfect.

The windows were steamed up and bowed, awaiting replacement.

But inside it was cosy & warm...

The floor was worn, and the furniture mismatched - some tables were tea crates.

And music played, which I didn’t know I loved.

There were shelves with records on and music memorabilia everywhere.

Quotes were scattered all over the ceiling.

The tea was hot, the scones were beautiful, and the company was fabulous.

Just people watching in there felt like you could sit forever.

There would be no need to see the world if you sat there long enough; the world would come to you.
